Raw Pumpkin Spiced Donuts

It's pumpkin donut season!

That means we are all about that pumpkin spiced life so we created a delicously easy donut recipe to help you life your best pumpkin spiced life this fall.

Did you know that pumpkins are super nutritious for you?

Pumpkins are great because they are packed with Vitamin A and Vitamin C! They are also super high in antioxidants which could reduce your risk of chronic diseases.

In pumpkins, there is loads of potassium and fibre which means it's great for your heart health and protecting your body from bad LDL cholesterol.

All you need are a few simple ingredients and 15 minutes of prep time to make these raw, high protein donuts!

 

RAW PUMPKIN SPICED DONUTS

    

INGREDIENTS:

  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/3 cup sunflower seeds
  • 1.5 cups dates
  • 3 tbsp peanut butter
  • 1 scoop PERFORM Madagascan Vanilla
  • 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice

 

PEANUT BUTTER FROSTING:

  • 3 tbsp peanut butter
  • 2 tbsp maple syrup
  • Pinch of salt

 

METHOD:

1. Combine your oats and sunflower seeds in a food processor and blend for a few seconds to make a flour. Add in the dates, peanut butter, protein and spice and blend again until the mixture is well combined.

2. Roll the mixture in your hands and press into a silicone donut mould. Transfer to the freezer and leave them to set for at least an hour!

3. Mix together your frosting ingredients in a mixing bowl. Take a teaspoon of the mixture and use to glaze each individual donut. Serve them up and enjoy!
